Heat the oven before using.
Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C) before using it. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Get the puff pastry ready.
On a surface with a little flour, open the puff pastry sheet. Use a rolling pin to gently flatten the dough to smooth out any wrinkles and make it a bit thinner.
Use a circular cookie cutter (around 2-3 inches wide) to cut out puff pastry circles. You should make around 8-10 circles, depending on how big your cutter is.
Put the pastry on top.
If you want your biscuits to be thicker and have more layers, place two circles of puff pastry on top of each other and gently press down. This will make 4-5 biscuits with two layers each.
Put the round puff pastry pieces on the baking sheet that has been prepared.
Put the toppings on.
Brush the top of each pastry circle with the beaten egg. This will help the toppings stay in place and make the pastry turn golden.
Put a lot of grated cheddar cheese on each circle.
Put some chopped bacon on top of the cheese.
If you want, add some black pepper and garlic powder on top for more taste.
