Classic Muffin Recipe

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar, eggs, and vegetable oil until well combined. Add the essence and milk, continuing to mix until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder together. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, one cup at a time, mixing until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

Pour the batter into a greased muffin pan or line the pan with paper cups for easier cleanup. Fill each cup about two-thirds full to allow room for the muffins to rise.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
